gardening tips on the internet. Okay, today we're talking about rooting hormones. Have you tried to

propagate plants or take cuttings but not had a lot of success? I know I have. Have you excitedly

taken those cuttings from the garden, placed them lovingly in your nursery,

only to see them wilting and drooping? Well, this isn't the only reason, but you might be missing out on a key element.

Rooting hormone.

If you've never experimented with Rooting hormone,

you're missing out on a big boost in the success rate of your plant propagation.

So we're going to cover why you should use it in the first place,

the different types that exist, how to make one naturally yourself,

and then a couple of the best ones on the market at least the ones that I use

and recommend. First of all, what is rooting hormone? When gardeners want to propagate plants,

they are often impatient and want to increase the likelihood that a plant were

root successfully. Obviously, we all want this. If we could get a 100% success rate on our propagation

techniques, that would be amazing. So if you're taking cuttings, what rooting

hormone does is it helps a cutting develop strong roots quicker instead of

struggling to survive. It doesn't matter per se what type of rooting hormone you use only that you use one in general

For most plants it's more effective than trying to propagate it with traditional soil or water techniques.

The long and short of it is this.

It's not going to decrease the chance that a plant propagates.

It's only going to increase it.
