Let's get started. Looking forward to what the Lord has for us today. First Thessalonians chapter 5.

We're going to pick it up in verse 12. We finished at verse 11 two weeks ago now. So our text today will be

verses 12 through 15. I'll ask you to stand if you're able. If not not that's all right, where you're seated is fine.

You can follow along as I read.

The Apostle Paul is writing by the Holy Spirit and says verse 12, now we ask you, brothers and sisters,

to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the

Lord and who admonish you, hold them, verse 13, in the highest regard in love because of their work.

Live in peace with each other.

And verse 14, we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive.

Encourage the disheartened.

Help the weak.

Be patient with everyone.

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other

and for everyone else. Let's pray if you would join with me. Thank you, Lord. Thank you for your word.

Lord, at this time, would you, Lord. Thank you for your word. Lord, at this time, would you, as only you can, settle our hearts and quiet our minds

and focus our attention on you and your word and that which you have for us today in your word.

Lord, we want to give you our undivided attention so you can speak into our lives.

So will you, Lord, speak.

So I want to talk with you today about the church. Specifically, the church that is truly

loving. What a truly loving church will actually be like and look like.
