It's not physically possible to talk New York sports without at least mentioning what the Knicks have been doing in the mecca lately. 2:19-13:50 Talkin' Knicks and revitalizing the city. The Mets season has been a rollercoaster ride thus far, but despite the Triple-A squad taking the field every day, we're still somehow finding ways to win. Can this be sustained? Will the reinforcements be coming any time soon? Probably not, but if different guys step up we can at least weather the storm. The guys talk about the injury list, the unlikely heroes and pray for some luck. It's not easy to always be positive, but when you are taking 3 out of 4 in the Rockies series and still sitting in first place to close out the month it's hard not to be. We've got the division rival Braves coming to town for Memorial Day Weekend, but what we've also got coming is some rain. Pray for rain- that's the plan for the time being. If we can skip some spot starts and play 7 innings we'll be sitting pretty. Is it always going to work? Absolutely not, but with the bullpen buzzing, the starters doing their thing and a few random no-names putting balls in play when it counts, stranger things have happened. We don't choose to believe because it's easy, we believe because we gotta believe.
