At the end of the day we're all just rooting for laundry and there's no better example than these replaceMets. The team has been ravaged by injury with 14 players heading to the IL, yet despite the tough times, the Mets march on. Under past ownership who knows where we would have wound up, but the Bench Mob rolls deep and we roll on! The guys talk about the tough series in Tampa that should have netted us at least one win but, even though it was a sweep, there wasn't any gut wrenching losses. Sometimes you just get beat and that's baseball Suzyn, you can't win them all. What's encouraging though is the way the squad came together for the Braves. It would have been easy for them to take the sweep and head into a tailspin, but these aren't the Mets you grew up on. If you would have told us that we'd have back-to-back bullpen games and win BOTH with THAT lineup, we wouldn't have ever believed it, but this team believes in themselves and that's all that matters. Look no further than the Villar-Pillar duo and Tomas Nido to see that there's something special going on around here. Pillar literally had his face broken and was back in the clubhouse and dugout the next night cheering on his guys. Teams that close always go places. KFC and Clem break down the good juju, how everyone on the team (minus Joey Luchessi) is a fan favorite and the calvary coming in June. We always "said" we believed, but that hasn't always been the case. Mets fans are pessimistic by nature, it's just the way we're wired, but things are a changing and Kevin has even had himself an epiphany! If he can believe then you can believe and if you can believe then we can believe cause this team is in first and better days are ahead so we gotta believe!
