I welcome onto the long-awaited Western conference grades here on Dunked On and let's get right to it, Denny.

0:08.0

Starting with a team that I actually struggled with here, the Dallas Mavericks.

0:13.2

Yeah, the Mavericks were tough, partially because of the timing and expectations and everything like that.

0:18.2

So the prominent moves for them, they added Seth Curry, DeLondt Wright, Bobon Morionovich,

0:23.6

a couple of second round picks because they moved down in the second, eventually drafting Isaiah Robi.

0:28.1

Importantly, they also retained Christophe Sporzingus, Moxie Kleba, Dwight Powell through an opt-in extension,

0:34.4

which counts Dorian Finney Smith and J.J. Barreya.

0:37.2

Their only losses to this point were Tray Burke and Coastus on Tadakumpo.

0:41.8

And yeah, so just to say you have it, the trade that they did was they moved down from 37 to 45,

0:47.2

1:11.3

Yeah, they retain, I think, about $11 million or so of that NBA record trade exception that they

1:17.6

got in the Harrison Barn steal. And they should be able to use almost all of that and still stay

1:23.2

under the tax if they want to take on some salary going forward here, or they could also roll that

1:29.0

over at the trade deadline by just basically doing an equal value trade, but taking one guy into

1:34.6

the trade exception and then sending out the other guy and just creating a new trade exception

1:39.2

for that size. So we were very high on Dallas's potential coming this season with Porzingus,

1:44.9

a researched free agent he was going to be back. Luke Adonchich, of course, rookie of the year,

1:49.2

and they had pretty much max cap space, but they had the problem that they had these three
