The Lakers' season, it is officially upon us! And we know this because the team has logged its first practice. At long last, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook shared the court doing basketball stuff. What were some of the impressions? To begin, Russ is fast. Like, really fast. Like, "Holy s----, you have no idea just how fast this dude is until you watch up close!" fast. This is very important, because Frank Vogel stated a goal of becoming the best fast break team in the NBA. (Which, despite the team's collective age, is very doable.) There was also talk about chemistry, defense, process and just having fun learning to play with each other. It felt like an excellent start to 82 games and (fingers crossed) 16 playoff wins.
