Welcome to the treatment. I'm Elvis Mitchell, my guest, who's been here for almost every movie he's made since 1999, is Wes Anderson, whose newest film is the Grand Budapest Hotel. Wes, good to see you again.

I can always rely that you'll make a movie and that'll be my way to catch out with you. Otherwise, who knows when I to see you because you're everywhere yeah well i tend to be i tend to spend a certain amount of time

overseas um you know the other thing is i tend to um you know i i i i go someplace and i usually

i usually stay there a long long time i i'm not somebody who goes goes to, you know, who goes to Hawaii for the weekend or something.

If I went to Hawaii, which I would love to go to Hawaii.

Have you never been to Hawaii?

No, I've never been to Hawaii.

But I feel like if, as soon as I feel like I would need six months to, you know, to properly visit Hawaii.

So you basically look at these as a choice of chance to explore these places rather than just

going for a couple of days. Yeah, well, I just, you know, I prefer a sustainable approach to aviation.

You know, I try to stay on the ground. Do you not like planes? Do you prefer not being on planes?

Well, I like planes as objects. As an abstraction.

They're wonderful.

I mean, they're amazing.
