My guest, director, Wes Anderson,

whose seventh film is Moonrise Kingdom,

is joining me from London.

I am in KCRW studios in Los Angeles,

which means it's 7.30-ish in the morning.

Wes, thanks so much for waking me up to get me to do this.

Oh, it's my pleasure.

I bet this is the seventh time we've done this together.

This is the six.

We didn't get about to Darjean Limited, but we've done every other film since you got started.

And the last time I saw you, we were talking about this movie.

We were talking about small change and 400 blows and some Ruiz P.L. All these things I see in

Moonrise Kingdom. Yes. Yeah. I think, you know, the first inspiration for this was small change,

which is this unusual thing of a movie that is completely set in the world of children. It's from their

point of view that it's sort of the camera is lowered, you know, into that to their level. But

it's not really for children. Not not specifically. It's more of a kind of art movie, but that's,

that's, that's who it's, that who it's, that's the perspective of it.

Tell the audience of you don't mind for probably what is at least the seventh time of what Moonrise Kingdom is about.

It is a romance between these two 12-year-olds.
