Wentz, undergoing foot surgery to remove a loose piece of bone in his left foot.

Now, according to his head coach, Frank Reich, with a nod to Daniel DeLewis, my left foot,

there were no further complications after the surgery.

I need to appreciate that, Mike.

The doctors think the surgery could have been an aggravation for an injury he suffered

in high school.

The first thing here, Mike, is you and I both believe that Wentz will bounce back.

That his best chance for success is with Frank Reich.

But how about the five to twelve timeline?

You've been around a lot longer than me in football.

Maybe this is more common, but when I hear normally, I hear four to six, right?

I hear six to eight.

If I hear five to twelve, I go holy shit.

So if he's out for five weeks, wait, he's back for the season opener against Seattle,

which let's be clear.
