trending criminal cases. And this one has been trending for the better part of a decade,

believe it or not, for those who are new to the Dan Markell murder, and often we hear the

Adelson name instead of Dan Markell. But this is really all about justice for Dan Markell.

He was a Harvard undergrad, a Harvard Law School graduate, and then was a teacher at FSU.

We got married to a woman named Wendy with an eye, Wendy with an eye, Edelson.

And the marriage, as many marriages do in this country, it went south.

And there was a bit of a custody battle, and that is an understatement over the two young children.

And lo and behold, 2014, it is July 18th, the dog days of summer.

Dan Markell pulls into his driveway after dropping kids off his kids at daycare and hitting the gym.

And that was the last day he was with us, although he passed the next day.

He had two gunshot wounds to the head. His next door neighbor,

an elderly man named Mr. Geiger, happened to catch a glimpse of a car. Long investigation ensued,

and eventually they track it down to a Latin King's gang member here where I am in Miami Beach named Luis Rivera,

who's attached to the trigger man, a guy named Siegfriedo Garcia.

Siegfriedo Garcia has children with a woman named Katie Magbanoa, and that woman dated

Charlie Adelson, Wendy's sister, the ex-wife. And Charlie Adelson's been convicted in a murder

for higher plot, serving life without parole in prison in Florida. But the Latin King gang members

are apparently after him. So he is actually in South Dakota. And his mother, Donna, is about to go on trial in June.
