Summary
As we say goodbye to 2025, we're reflecting on a year filled with more milestones than we ever imagined. We lift up our friends who are suffering, trusting them to the Lord, knowing that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted" (Psalm 34:18). Embracing that we are beautifully broken, we allow Christ's light to shine through our wounds, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
"A humble soul does not trust itself but places all its confidence in God. God defends the humble soul and lets himself into its secrets, and the soul abides in unsurpassable happiness which no one can comprehend."

| 0:00.0 | Hello, welcome to Among the Lilies. This is the very last episode for 2025. I can guarantee that. I have not been |
| 0:12.7 | consistent and I'm very sorry, but that has been what my life has allowed. Yeah, I'm just going to do this one. Audio as well. I know I've gone |
| 0:24.7 | back and forth between the video and audio and this is just where I feel most comfortable |
| 0:29.0 | right now. I feel like I've done more. I was talking to my husband last night and I told |
| 0:37.4 | him, I was like, Matt, we did more this year because we were going over the year and our favorite things, you know, things that we're grateful for and what all we've done this year. |
| 0:49.3 | And I kept saying, honey, honey, we've done more this year than most people do in a lifetime. |
| 0:54.9 | And he's like, no, that's not true. |
| 0:56.7 | That's not true. |
| 0:57.4 | And then we were remembering things that happened this year that feels so long ago. |
| 1:03.9 | Like preaching in Australia. |
| 1:05.8 | We were blessed to Perusia Media, had us over. |
| 1:10.2 | It was so good to go to Australia. I had never been to |
| 1:12.6 | Sydney. So it really blew my mind being in Sydney because I've been to Australia so many |
| 1:18.6 | times, at least five times, but Matt's from a small town in South Australia. So the majority of my experience with Australia |
| 1:29.9 | has been very rural. And so being in a big city like really blew my mind. But the people |
| 1:36.2 | were so wonderful and amazing. And I was so surprised to meet so many faithful Catholics |
| 1:42.9 | there and people on fire for their faith, which I had not |
| 1:46.1 | seen or experienced before. We have friends in Brisbane. So our friends in Brisbane, they have |
| 1:50.6 | good fellowship and are amazing, amazing faithful people. But I thought it was just because |
| 1:58.4 | they were mainly missionaries. I didn't realize that there's more really faithful Catholics in Australia, |
| 2:03.6 | and it was such a gift to go and be there with them and chat with them. |
| 2:07.6 | But the best is Matt and I hadn't even mentioned visiting Australia, |
