My friend, my mentor, Jane Bryant Quinn,

likes to say that money isn't really pink or blue.

It's green, and she has a point,

but when it comes to money,

women are just different.

We're different because we live longer,

seven years longer, on average.

We're different because we're still the ones

who take breaks from the workforce most often to care for our kids

and take care of our older parents and all of that means that when we get to the end of the road,

the balances in our retirement accounts, they're smaller.

And then we need to make them last for a longer period of time.

Women are also different because we learn differently than men.

Men find it easy to learn from technology.

Women like to learn from other people.

And I'm excited to be with you every week

because I want to talk with you about money

in a way that demystifies it, in a way that simplifies it,

in a way that simplifies it.
