Hey, what's going on? This is not the Saturday Down South podcast. This is the OG kickoff.

Connor O'Gara, Will Ogburn, your usual cast and crew. Not your usual circumstances.

We should probably explain to the people what's been going on the last couple weeks and why this looks different than what people

have come to expect with the Saturday Down South podcast feed.

You have converted to Mormonism gone door to door.

A big life change has happened, I assume.

No, not quite, not quite.

I wish it was it was something along. No, no, not quite, not quite. Um, I wish it was, it was something long. No, no,

I'm not even going to go there. We'll just stay away from that one altogether. Uh, yeah, so I got

laid off. I got laid off at Saturday Down South and we basically found out this information like

a day after the last recording. So for these past two weeks,

yesterday, Thursday, I guess it depends on when people are listening to this, but Thursday,

the 12th was my last day at SDS. And it's been, it's been an interesting two weeks. It's been an interesting two weeks it's been an interesting two weeks

but the reason that you're still able to hear us and you haven't had to like go find us on a

new feed at least in terms of the podcast stuff we're going to get to the other part of

where you can find us on YouTube on social and all those things and how you can help us out there

but yeah they basically let us keep the podcast feed, which is great because Will,

you were at the forefront of being able to create the Saturday Down South podcast and what

it was and doing it for nine seasons the way that we did, it essentially means that if you've listened to us

for a while, whether you are an OG listener, a relatively recent one, you don't have to go to a

bunch of different places. So that's, that's the good news is that we're here and we're able to

actually talk to you right now. Now you're all OG listeners, right? And I mean, mean that that's the thing right I think that at this point we've been friends for over 10 years we've been talking ball and so at the end of the day you know if you like our brand of talking football you know we kind of talked about it we're like you know what are our next steps and we're like hey you know as long as there is a demand we're going to keep giving the people, you know, what they're asking for. Plenty of people have reached out to me.
