Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging just about 21,000 steps a day.

Skies are, we'll say, partly sunny. I mean, you could go either way, partly'll say partly sunny.

I mean, you could go either way. Partly sunny, partly cloudy.

We're going to be the optimist today because it's the first day of summer and say partly sunny

and it is going to be a warm sticky one here in South Carolina which is obviously the way it should be. You may be saying, Dave, first day of summer,

uh-uh. Actually, yes, it is. It is June 1st. It is the meteorological first day of summer. These are

weather scientists, and they have determined that summer begins on

June 1st, not when the calendar says it starts, which is June 21st, which is technically the summer

solstice, a cooler name than meteorological first day of summer. I'll give you that.

But the weather scientists have looked at all the data. They've looked at the temperatures,

the temperature data, basically how it feels, and they have deemed June 1st today, the first day of summer.

You think I'm making this up?

Just go ahead and Google, meteorological, if you can spell it, first day of summer,

and you will see June 1 will pop up.

And, I mean, come on, let's be honest. Do you really think of June as a, as a spring

month? I mean, June just emotionally feels like summer, right? Here we are. First day of summer. And I am a fan. Love summer.
