Summary

Welcome back to the first episode in 2024. Discover how a serious of personal unfortunate events led me to start this podcast over 5 years ago. Find out how hundreds of expert guests helped shape this podcast over the course of years; how spectacular stories from our listeners made our connection deeper and proved that souls continue to live long after we live our physical bodies.

Ultimately, discover how we can perceive life differently using the lens of death. The transformative power of death stretches far longer than we can see, feel and taste.

I’d like to extend my gratitude to my Patreon supporters, who help keep Life, Death and the Space Between lights up, and to all the listeners who have helped the show become what it is today, and encourage them to keep sharing the word. The more people we can reach, the more we can do to unveil the secrets of spirituality deeply rooted in our very being.

Here’s to the New 2024! May it bring you health, happiness, love and success!

Hi, I'm Dr. Amy Robbins and welcome to season six of life, death, and the space between podcast. I cannot

0:16.5

believe it is my sixth season. I started this podcast in December of 2018, just really wanting to

0:26.1

spread the word about what happens after we die, how we can use death as a lens to help us live

0:33.3

better here now. And I never could have imagined that I would still be doing it almost six years,

0:40.2

well, five years later and that it would have reached as many people as it has. So if you're new to

0:48.5

the podcast or you've not listened to my story, I'll just give you a little bit of backstory here.

0:53.3

So I started this podcast in

0:55.7

2018 and really kind of the origin story here begins way before that. When I was 18 years old,

1:03.6

I lost my beloved aunt who was like a second mother to me. She had complications from juvenile

1:10.3

onset diabetes. If you want to

1:12.1

hear more about her story, you can go back and listen to that episode. It is actually my first

1:17.2

episode. And it really gives you, first of all, excuse the quality of the episode back then because

1:24.5

I was very nervous. It was the first time I was doing this. So you can definitely hear a difference in my voice from then until now. But it goes into the backstory,

1:34.0

probably details I don't even remember at this point, some experiences that I had with friends

1:39.2

that really pushed me more into the space of mediumship and figuring out what exactly I wanted to do next.

1:45.9

But I had lost my aunt. I was 18. She was late 40s. And it was a really obviously devastating

1:55.4

experience for me. It was the first time I had lost anybody in my life, kind of out of order,

2:00.6

what I call it,

2:01.8

and really was grieving very, very hard, but not realizing that what I was experiencing

2:07.3

was grief.

2:08.5

I was in college at the time.

2:10.1

I went back to college right after she passed away and I came home for the Shiva and the
