As you can probably tell, this walk is starting in a different place and it is going to be probably one of the more interesting walks I've ever taken with you.

Hi, I'm Dave. Welcome to Walking His Fitness. This is a daily podcast helping you with a little added motivation to get out the door and take the walk.

Today's 10-minute walk starts right after this.

I am in the food court of Washington's Union Station. It's a massive train station that opened

in 1907 and the basement is a food court and I'm here in the morning not super early.

Some of these places are open. There's a Chick-fil-A on one end passing a Jersey,

Mike's and Charlie's Philly Steaks. There's a Walgreens down here. So a lot of food options

here in the lower level of Washington's Union Station. I'm not eating right now. I'm going to head

up the stairs to the main level. And this is kind of an interesting space up here. So if you're

actually getting on or off a train, you would be on this level.

All of the ticket counters for the trains are just to my left and I can see a number of folks who are

getting tickets. This is also, I guess you could call it a mall.

So as you're waiting for the train, you get off the train,

or you're just in the area, you can walk through the mall

and a number of shops.

There are also some restaurants up here.

This is a waiting area.

A lot of people behind this glass wall sitting with luggage,

I guess waiting for their train.

And just like an airport,

Hudson,

a Hudson store used to be Hudson News.
