And this is Joe McCormick. And today on Weird House, we're going to be talking about the 1987 cult sci-fi action film, The Hidden, directed by Jack Shoulder, starring Kyle McLaughlin, Michael Neury, and Claudia Christian.

we're going to be talking about the plot of the movie in a lot of detail. And this movie today

contains major twists and surprises, which are pretty bizarre and I would argue quite pleasing

to follow if you go in cold uh so uh so this is

one where you really might want to think about watching the movie without listening any further

i will give a warning at the top that the hidden is incredibly violent uh like tons of on-screen

murder and blood squibs uh almost nonstop gunfire. But if you have the

stomach for that sort of thing, you know, you can be into like 80s R-rated cop movies that have

all that kind of violence. And if you want something that is, I would say, one part, like hardcore 80s cop movie with ultraviolence

and all the cop cliches just kind of you know meatloaf mouth ribbing of cops going at each other

and then another part absolutely wacky i really would recommend watching this movie without

reading or listening to anything else.

Yeah, just know that it's the sort of cop movie, an L.A. cop movie from the 80s that we would cover on Weird House Cinema, and then you're good to go.

I watched it on the Warner Brothers Blu-ray, which is a rather nice little
