But we had to go through our list and whittle it down from the hundreds of submissions.

We got to the three or four finalists that we think could actually proudly wear the sash of America's weirdest relative.

And then there's the people that couldn't quite make it through that wish they did. Hey, sweet dibits, guys. I was listening to the show all week and thinking, do I have any weird relatives myself? And I'm thinking, and I can't think of anyone. I'm like, everyone's pretty normal. And then it dawned on me. I'm going to drive home from work today because I'm listening to the podcast. Oh, man, I'm the weird relative. I like to dress in a pirate's costume when I get home from work today as I'm listening to the podcast. Oh man I'm the weird relative. So there's two things On the way to getting into your pirates out. Right. That does happen sometimes.. You think about it. You really go, who is the weird relative? And if you can't place it, you start thinking about, am I wearing a pirate costume right now? Maybe I am the weird relative. You think he was just sitting there on the couch in a pirate costume going, I just made a realization. So we're going to meet these finalists now. and once again it was tough. I mean, this was, we got into a heated arguments in the back
