President Biden's campaign will continue using the popular social media site,

Tik-Tock, even though the president supported a provision in the military aid bill he recently signed forcing

Tik-Tocks parent company, Bight Dance, to sell Tik-Tok within 270 days.

If Biden does not sell Tik-Tok within the required time,

Tik-Tok will be banned in the United States.

Biden's continue use of Tik-Tok to reach the approximately 150 million Americans

Tik-Tok users. It's not the only example of hypocrisy from politicians who support the Tik-Tok ban.

The Tik-Tok ban was driven by claims that because

Byte Dance is a Chinese company,

Tik-Tok is controlled by the Chinese government

and thus is helping the Chinese government

collect data on American citizens.

However, the only tie Bight Dance has to the Chinese government

is via a Chinese government-controlled company

that owns a small amount of stock in a separate bite dance operation.

Furthermore, bite dance stores its data in an American facility not accessible by the Chinese government.

Just days before passing the Tik-Tok ban,

the same Senate that is so concerned about Tik-Tok's

alleged violations of American's privacy

the FISA Reauthorization Act.
