What's up everyone? Welcome back to another episode of Founders Journal. My personal diary made public for the world.

0:06.0

I'm Alex, co-founder and executive chairman of Morning Brew, and today I'm doing a true journal entry.

0:12.0

I gave myself a simple prompt. What went well, what didn't go well, and what are you thinking about?

0:17.6

Right before this recording, I wrote down a few bullets, but other than that, this journal entry is being created as I speak it to amazing founder, Saudrié. She has an incredible story. In high school, she came over to the US by herself on scholarship.

1:36.1

The fact that Sadrier is blind makes her story of immigration and

1:40.0

entrepreneurship even more impressive given we live in a world that

1:43.7

objectively is harder and less accessible for the visually impaired.

1:48.1

But I included this fact last because I know that Sadrié doesn't want to be treated differently.

1:53.5

I didn't treat her differently when we spoke on the phone.

1:56.2

She wants to be treated like any other founder being judged on the merit of her work,

2:01.3

not on the differences in her site.

2:03.4

So that was probably the highlight of my week

2:05.9

was my conversation with Sadrier.

A few days later, after the call is Sadrier,
