Welcome to Rates and Barrels. It's Friday, May 8th. Derek Van Riper here with Enosaris in the midst of a solo parenting stretch. How's it going for you, Eno?

Day was hectic. The dogs pooped in my bathroom for some reason in the night. The cats pushed food into the water fountain. It's just one of those mornings. I just, I barely got them out of the house. They're all testing you, all of them,

that once. Yeah, it's, it's, it's another degree of difficulty with four cats and two dogs

and the kids. I would have done fine with the kids this morning. It would have been easy. Eno Farms strikes yet again. But on this episode, we're going to dig into a bunch of fantasy topics. It is Fantasy Friday here. We've got a couple mailbag questions. We'll try to squeeze in. And we do have Niv Shah, our senior hot dog correspondent, checking in with a monstrosity from Nats Park.

We'll get to that here in just a little while.

You know, we begin today with the highly anticipated debut of Robbie Snelling.

It's interesting because he's already 65% rostered in CBS leagues.

A lot of those leagues are first come first serve.

He's stashed in some NFBC leagues since the start of draft season, maybe picked up by other teams that had the

chance to do it where he was drafted and cut by someone. Nevertheless, the expectation here is

that he is up and going to contribute at a very high level. What have you seen in terms of underlying numbers and stuff model numbers from Robbie Snelling during his time at AAA?

I think it'll be competent at the very least because if you look at this, the platoon splits on his stuff, you know, against left-handers, he's dominant.

The question is, what does he do against right-handers? Well, the four-seam looks good against right-handers, against left-handers, he's dominant. The question is, what does he do against right-handers? Well, the foreseem looks good against right-handers, although poor command so far in the minors. And the curve looks like a platoon neutral pitch that he can use against both sides. So at least the four-seam and curve, it's strong foundation. He's got both sides. The change doesn't look good in the model.

If the change is better than the model says, then I think he'll be fine. If not, then he's a kind of

a two-pitch pitcher against Ritey's. And, you know, it remains to be seen. Like, I know this is,

this is not based on arm angle, and it's not based on a live look but just looking at this model there seems like there's slight similarities to like a Kyle Harrison you know like the good version yeah I think the good version the fastball is his best pitch the fastball is easily his best pitch and his breaking ball is platoon neutral. That's where

I get the Kyle Harrison comparisons. So, you know, I guess that in that park, that's worth a lot of

excitement. It's nice to know that he doesn't have like a fatal flaw. I don't know that this looks

as dominant in his minor league numbers has looked. I mean, you know, 40% strikeout right in the minors,
