0:22.2

right into the thursday nighter normally got a little side business to talk about off the top i don't

0:26.7

have anything for you today so i want to get right to it here and that way hopefully we can get to

0:30.0

as many your questions as possible at the end of the show just a couple of takeaways from the

0:34.5

thursday nighter yeah the packers hung on they got the win

0:37.9

finally beat the Cardinals so they get their first loss of the year but fantasy wise we want

0:42.7

to focus on Randall Cobb had this nice game and we knew once we found out that Devante

0:48.0

Adams was going to be out that Alan Lazard was going to be out that MVS Marcus Valle Scantling wasn't

0:52.8

going to be activated for this one.

0:54.3

We'll probably see him next week. Then you knew that Randall Cobb, that connection that he has with Aaron Rogers, it was going to turn into some fantasy value in this game. And it's not like you're going to pick him up and play him now every week. This is sort of just a spot start. We expect to have those other guys back. but Cobb comes out, didn't have huge yardage, but ends up scoring two touchdowns. He uses that connection with Rogers in that area of the field. So really, really great to see for him if you got him in your lineup. But like I said, do not expect that to last. Look at the other side of the field. James Connor also scored two touchdowns. That puts him up to eight touchdowns and eight games on the year. He has just slid right into that Kenyon Drake role, where he's getting the goal line work in one of the best offenses in the league right now. So very nice to see for fantasy managers that picked him up in, you know, the later rounds, you got him at a pretty good discount for what he's doing here. Now, I do not expect this to keep up. I mean, regression comes for guys like this, but it's fantastic and hopefully you enjoyed it right now. And hopefully, you know, he stays healthy because Connor's a guy that's had a lot of injuries over time here. Right now, he's been able to kind of keep it going. Maybe it's really good for him that he's in a committee. We've talked about that before that maybe he's not suited to be a lead back, but he's a guy that can get into your lineup as your RB2, ideally as a flex play. You don't have to rely on him as one of your two starting running backs. But production wise, thanks to the touchdowns, he's been getting it done. And also good news here for Chase Edmonds, who finally found the end zone. Yet Connor stealing all these touchdowns away from him, Edmonds last night has a nice game, ends up finding the end zone finally there. So Edmonds is an RB2 continuing here. And really, Conner's an RB2 right now numbers-wise, if you look at him on on the season. But like I said, I'd rather treat him as more of that RB3 flex who has that touchdown upside. Because there's going to be some games where he doesn't find the end zone. And yardage-wise, he's really been outgained by Edmonds and I think all but two games this season. So you really bank it on that touchdown production with him. But hopefully Edmonds is going to be okay because he did leave that game briefly. He came back. Hopefully he'll be fine there and there won't be any sort of issue. Sometimes we know a day later or so things can hurt a little more. But the Cardinals have 10 days here before they have to play again. So they have a lot of injuries. We're going to talk about them here. A lot of injuries. We hope all these guys can be healthy for that game. DeAndre Hopkins is the other one. So he entered the game with this hamstring injury. We weren't sure if he was going to play. We expected that he was going to be out there. Comes out very early in the game, has a nice long catch looks great and then he re-injures that hamstring so

3:27.6

he ends up leaving for like two quarters we see him come back you know a little bit later in the game

3:32.3

has like one play where he's kind of like a decoy ends up catching a short slant and then leaves

3:37.1

the game completely and we find out today that apparently that was all on him the trainers trainers didn't want him back in the game. And he just kind of picked up his helmet and went back out there. And who's going to say anything to the star receiver? What we're hoping here is that he didn't hurt it more. Right. And that's normally when that happens, when we see these aggravations, these injuries that guys have entering a game, that can be problematic. And sometimes that can keep them out even longer. So we'll be watching 10 days, like I said, hopefully he'll be fine for week nine. But that's one that we got to monitor because you don't want to see him out of the lineup here. We also saw Kyler Murray get dinged up in the game. And it was kind of all happened late. He was limping. He had sort of a scramble play. Got up from that was limping. Then he obviously throws the interception that costs them the game and he stayed down for quite a while. And you don't know, was he actually really hurt? Was it more just his ego? And it was a situation where, you know, he didn't want to really face the music and get up. But he did limp off. Another one where we don't really know we haven't got an update on it yet. But hopefully he'll be fine for week nine. It's a tough way to lose the game. But at least they got a lot of time to kind of regroup from that one. Unfortunately, on the other side, Robert Tunnan's probably going to be able for a while here. You've probably seen the highlights already, was running down the field, ends up kind of grabbing at his knee, goes down after the game. Matt Lafleur seems even a little emotional talking about it. That's probably a sign that we're going to see Tunin out for a while here. It could even be a season ender. And there's not really anybody to pivot to in the Packers offense.

5:10.1

I mean, tight end wise, Marcus, Mercedes Lewis, sorry, you know, who else, Josiah Deguara?

5:12.1

Those guys are probably just form a committee. They kind of already been running as a committee, even with Tonnan out there.

5:15.2

So not really expecting any of those guys to turn into real fantasy assets, just a few more targets for Devante Adams and company once they're back in the lineup here. And they got a big game, week nine, going up against the chief. So that could be an exciting one for fantasy. But we're getting ahead of ourselves a little bit. We don't want to talk about week nine yet. That's next week. We got to talk about week eight. We got to talk about the rest of the injuries that could impact your team this weekend. We got to start with Dak Prescott here. And we'll recap here. So week six, they had a buy in week seven. At week six, he gets hurt in the last play of the game, has that calf injury. The team kind of suggested last week that had it not been a buy, had it actually been a game week that Prescott probably

5:55.0

wouldn't have played. Comes back this week, limited practice Wednesday, limited practice

5:59.3

Thursday. And then we find out this morning, Mike McCarthy said they kind of pushed him a little

6:03.7

more yesterday and Dak showed up pretty sore today. So he didn't completely rule him out, but the way

6:10.0

McCarthy was talking was kind of suggesting that they're leaning towards not playing him in this game. There was a lot of, you know, there's a lot more time left in the season and got to be smart about it and all that sort of stuff. So right now, based on what we know, I think we're going to lean towards Dak probably not playing in this game. I know Dak said he thinks he could suit up and it was going to come down to whether he'd get cleared by the medical staff. What it sounds like is that medical staff does not want to clear him. And I get it. If, you know, he goes out there and aggravates it and you lose him for a significant stretch, that could knock the Cowboys out of the playoffs potentially. And you're looking at this team being a contender. So you want to give him that week off. You want to play it smart. That's not great for fantasy managers going into this Sunday nighter with the Vikings. And like I said, this isn't 100%. He hasn't been ruled out yet. But fantasy wise, you got to have another option ready because we might not know on Sunday morning whether he's going to play or not. And if you're asking me questions about DAC Sunday morning, depending what we find out overnight Saturday to Sunday, I'm probably going to err on the side of every other guy that you suggest there because it'd be very, very risky to go into that Sunday night or hoping Dak plays, you know, unless you have Kirk Cousins in that game or one of the guys in the Monday nighter. So it's a massive downgrade here. If we're going to go to Cooper Rush starting in the game, just a massive downgrade for all the skill position players in Dallas. And we've seen what can happen to a pretty good offense when they lose their star quarterback. We saw it with Seattle, right? Russell Wilson, he leaves, you know, Smith comes in. All of a sudden, the teeth are just gone from that attack. And you see guys that normally put up huge stats. And I know D.K. Metcalf had the big long touchdown. But aside from that, he really didn't do much. Tyler Lockett's kind of fallen right off the map. I don't think it's going to be that bad with the Cowboys, but they're definitely going to be knocked down here. I think Lamb will fall to the wide receiver two range. You know, Cooper falls to the wide receiver three range, probably, you know, more of a touchdown guy. And then Gallup becomes pretty much unplayable at that point. There's no way that the Cooper Rush is going to support three receivers fantasy-wise.

I would still use Zeke. I would still use Dalton Schultz, but the ceilings for them, it also comes
