I'm your host, Justin Boone, the lead fantasy analyst at The Score, and today's episode is presented by head and shoulders.

I am glad you are tuning in today because we have an old friend of the show, Chris Meaney, joining us.

Only you might not know that he's an old friend of the show since we actually lost the recording of the first episode that he was on.

It is the only time that we have ever lost a recording. Knock on wood. I will give you the short

version, but we were recording one of our weekly preview shows just like this one, but it was back in

2018. I think it was the first year we were doing the podcast and Chris was awesome

as a guest and afterwards we were talking. I was waiting for the producer because back

then we used to record in the office. I was waiting for the producer to give me the thumbs up that

the file was saved and everything and I saw a little more stress on his face than normal and 10, 15 seconds went by by. That turned into about a minute or two. And then finally I was like, okay, we gotta let Chris go. We can't keep him any longer. And I went over and talked to the producer. And it turns out we were saving an audio and a video file and the computer that they didn't have enough space to save it. And when they tried to save, poof, the file just disappeared.

So I was, I was upset. I will admit it, I was not very happy. But I was more upset just because

I felt like we wasted Chris's time. So I didn't even ask him to come back on the next day when I

recorded. I said, I just wanted to do the episode by myself and get it over with. I didn't want

to put him through that. And to his credit, he actually offered to come back on the next day because he's just that nice of a guy, but I couldn't do it to him. But that was two years ago. And like I said, we haven't lost a recording since then. I am really hoping that we don't lose today. So fingers crossed. Let's get him in here, though.

Chris, welcome back to the showman. And thank you for daring to come back on after we lost that first episode. Dude, I totally forgot about that. I had to mute my mic in that intro because I was losing it laughing. I forgot all about that. I do remember that time, and I know how bad you felt. And then I was thinking to myself, was I even okay on that show? Did I give bad advice? Like, jokes aside.

No, that's the thing. Like, you were, you were really, really good on the show. And that made me even more upset about it because I was like, man, he nailed it. And now I have to turn around and do this all myself tomorrow without that help. I, you know, I've been in your situation before. It's tough. you know, you track down a guess, you have them on, you feel like the show does, you know, it's great.

And then something just technical happens. We've all been in that situation before. You know, I'm sure people listening to who have done some things in life, whether it's not even just, you know, fantasy and recording podcasts or videos, just something like that happened to you. And it's like, you know, it is what it is. I'm happy to come back on. Like I was happy at that time to do the show again. I'm thrilled to join you today. It has been a long time, man. I used to love doing the rankings reveal show with you and Jake Seeley. Just two intelligent minds and yourself. And I see that you continue to kill it over with rankings and all your content over the score. So it's a blast to be here, man. Thanks for thinking on me.
