in the

q and a section and i really liked last week's show we didn't really spend too much time on the

thursday nighter and what that allows is that lets me answer more of your questions at the end of

0:48.1

the show so that's what we're here for right so let's just quickly touch on the thursday night game i

mean maybe not as many offensive fireworks as we thought. Julio balled out. That's to be expected. Todd Gurley, a little less work. I think it was because of the short week. They gave Brian Hill a few more touches in this one. Not that much to talk about in this game. I mean, Teddy Bridgewater got banged up. He was able to come back in. Really, the big news coming out of this game was Calvin Ridley getting hurt in the first half, and he was ruled out at halftime. So, I mean, I guess we can start with the injury news. Calvin Ridley, man. I mean, it's a foot injury. They initially announced it as an ankle injury. X-rays reportedly came back negative. The team is saying that they're hopeful that he's going to be good to go in week nine because they get sort of that extended week, right? They get like a week and a half off playing on the Thursday night or this week. But I don't know. I'm not so sure that he's going to be ready to go. We're going to be watching the practice reports. And I think at this point, I would consider him kind of doubtful for week nine. And if we get him back at practice next week, you can just consider yourself fortunate at that point. And we know if Ridley misses time, I mean, Julio's going to be great regardless. but if Ridley misses time and hulio's going to be great regardless

2:01.1

but if ridley misses time then you're looking at a russell gage you're looking at hayden

2:05.6

hurst and christian blake is actually the guy that would step into the lineup of all those backup

2:10.7

receivers that they have blake is the one that steps in when ridley's out so in deeper leagues

2:16.3

you could look at him lots Lots of injuries to talk about

2:19.0

specifically for Week 8 here, though. I'll try to go through them all quickly. I want to mention a

2:25.1

bunch. So Michael Thomas still dealing with this hamstring issue. He returned to practice on Thursday,

2:30.6

so that's a great sign, gives him a chance to play this week. I would like to see a full practice from him before I really trust him in my lineup. I mean, if he's out there, you're probably playing him unless you got another great option while he's been out. But I don't know that we're going to see him this week. We've seen with these hamstring issues. We've seen it with other receivers. I know the Packers, training staff is very conservative, but they held out Devante Adams,

2:56.1

even when Adams thought he was ready to go.

2:58.1

And for Michael Thomas, I mean, with all the injuries he's had, with all the off-field stuff

3:02.9

that's kind of been going on and the fighting with the team, I think there's a good shot that

3:07.2

they hold him out another week and they get him back at 100%. There's a team that's looking at the Super Bowl. They want to make a long playoff run. They want to make sure that he's healthy. So there's still a shot that he's back this week, but I'm kind of looking at it like I doubt he's going to play. And they got a lot of receivers missing. I mean, Emmanuel Sanders still on the COVID list. You have Marcus Calloway, who's been stepping in. He's banged up. He's been limited in practice this week. So we're anxiously awaiting Thomas's return, and the Saints definitely need him back in the lineup as well. Alan Robinson, he's really the biggest name in concussion protocol right now.

3:42.3

And there's a bunch of guys in concussion protocol that we're watching to see if they
