tuning in here to hang out with me today. We're back up and running. It's Friday. We're

heading into week three here. We're recording this at 1 p.m. Eastern, and I want to make that clear

because I was just talking with our producer, Marcus, about we record this right at a time when all

the injury updates are coming down, when practices are ending. So I got the phone here. I'm getting my updates from the score. You should be getting those two. And we just roll along as we're figuring this out along the way, right? We got to adapt and figure it out here. So I don't want to waste any time. I want to start with last night's game. And it's not that the game itself was really that exciting. I mean, we figured the Panthers were going to win and the Panthers won. It was a little closer in the first half than maybe we thought, but in the end, the outcome was what we expected. So there's not really much we need to get into. mean dj more sam darnall they got a great connection

we're finally seeing more get unlocked here as a true wide receiver one which is great we just need

him to score some touchdowns and he almost did i mean darnall just missed him on that one really long

pass otherwise would have been a monster stat line for him this week more's really pushing for you know you know, top 12 kind of numbers here. We just need a couple touchdowns there. It's going to be pretty exciting if he can get that. And Darnel's looking like a pretty solid QB2 with QB1 upside here. If he gets good matchups and last night was one of them and he came through for us. And that's why I had him ranked as the QB12 this week. But really, I'm bearing the lead. I know that's not what anybody wants to talk about from that game. Everybody wants to know about Christian McCaffrey. Rightfully so, he leaves the game early with a hamstring injury and pretty quickly got ruled out. And normally that's a pretty bad sign. Normally that means that a player could be injured for a little while, could be something serious. And if you're an optimist, maybe you want to look at it and say, well, they were playing the Texans and they figured they were going to be able to win the game anyway. And that's why they were just like, let's play it safe and keep him out. But it turns out today we got some news. I mean, Ian Rappaport said this morning

that McCaffrey really wasn't able to push off that leg. And that's why they made the determination

to not put him back in the game and made that call so quick. We got news today that it's going to be a few

weeks. And they're not going to put him on IR, apparently. So that's not an issue yet. But it looks like he's going to miss a couple weeks. And that means that Chuba Hubbard, the rookie, is going to step into that leadback role. We saw Mike Davis last year. He in this offense steps in. And it's not to say that running backs don't matter. And certainly nobody's going to give you the kind of numbers that Christian McCaffrey can give you.

But Mike Davis stepped in last year, put up top 12 numbers.

And I think Hubbard could step in.

We saw last night maybe wasn't the most efficient, but stepped in there and was able to do okay.

And you're talking about, I mean, he's available in 77% of leagues

right now. Last night, 11 carries 52 yards, three catches, 27 yards. Could have been more, too,

really could have been. And, you know, he's not CMC, but a guy that could slide right in your

lineup as an RB2 with RB1 upside some weeks.

So really like that.
