I'm Bob Harris, and we're going to get this week three injury overview started with the Cardinals running back James Connor.

It was carted off with a right ankle injury in the third quarter of Sunday's game in San Francisco. Turns out it was every bit as bad as it looked.

According to multiple reports, the injury will require surgery that's going to end Connor's season,

though he'll have additional testing today to get the full extent of the damage.

With Connor out for the rest of the year, Arizona's first option of running back will be Trey Benson.

Behind Benson will be a rotation of Amari Demarcato and Bam Knight, who is inactive against the 49ers. With Benson likely to slide into the primary role, Demarcato would become

the third downback. Arizona also has Michael Carter on the practice squad. The Cardinals host the

Seahawks in week four. Chargers running back, Najee Harris left in the first half of Sunday's

2320 win against the Denver Broncos.

Preliminary tests revealed he suffered an Achilles injury, head coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game.

Harbaugh added that Harris will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury, but it doesn't look good.

Harris had a team high 28 yards on six carries before exiting, but first round draft pick on

Murray and Hampton had the best game of his career in this one, finishing with 129 yards

from scrimmage and his first career touchdown.

Hampton played a career high 63 snaps against the Broncos.

Backup Hassan Haskins played just six.

As ESPN.com's Chris Rim suggested, this is a sign Hampton could be

the leadback for this offense moving forward with Harris all but certain amidst significant time,

if not the season. The Chargers could also look to elevate Kamani Voddell or Amar Johnson from

the practice squad or sign a free agent to keep Hampton from wearing down. The Chargers play

the Giants this week.
