Welcome back to Pardon the Mess.

I'm your host, Courtney Defeo,

and we are on week 28 praying for our children. And this week, we're talking about miracles, how we can pray that our kids will believe in miracles, and we're looking at the life of Jair's. And I have a special guest, Kylie White. How are you today? So good. I'm so happy to be with you. You're so kind to do this. This is a good friend when the night before I tried to record this one, and I'm like, why am I talking about Kylie's miracle? Let's just get Kylie on and talk about her miracle together. So you have been on the podcast, and I'm going to link to the full story, because 10 minutes will never do it justice for what God has done in your life. But let me just briefly go through Jaris. I know you're familiar with him.. And Mark 5, we read about his story and I'll just jump in. And in the middle of it, I'm going to

skip. There's some verses in there with another miracle where the woman was healed by touching his

clothes. So everybody go back and read that. Mark 521 says, when Jesus had crossed over by boat to the

other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered him while he was by the lake, and one of the synagogue leaders named Jairus came up, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. He pleaded earnestly with him. My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live, so Jesus went with him. Later down in 35, it says, while Jesus was speaking,

still some people came up from the house of Jirus, the synagogue leader. Your daughter is dead.

Why bother the teacher anymore? Overhearing what they said, Jesus told them, do not be afraid,

just believe. He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James,

and when they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, why all the commotion and wailing? This child is not dead, but asleep, and they laughed at him. And he put them all out of the house, it doesn't say the house, took the child's father and mother and the disciples who were with them and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, I have no idea how to say this, Kylie, Alythea Coombe, that's not it, which means little girl, I say to you, get up. Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around. She was 12 years old. At this time, they were completely astonished,

and he gave strict orders not to tell anyone about this and told them to go give her something

to eat. So no big thing. We read of miracles all throughout the Bible, but I think many people

believe like that was an Old Testament thing, like it's not happening. So tell us what happened to you in as many

minutes as you want. Well, I think, you know, it's such a beautiful journey of faith, and that's

what you see in this story. It was an invitation to faith. The dad was like, you know, come,

she'll be healed. Like, he doesn't doubt. And I think that's my journey was a diagnosis of like,

you're going blind. Each appointment is worse, worse, worse. Like, oh, you're going blind when

you're 60. Nope, 40. Nope. It could be, you know, before you're 40. And, oh, you could also

lose your hearing with that. I mean, it was just a continual progression of worse with four little kids at home.
