Welcome to another edition of the NFL fantasy football show presented by Draft Kings. It's me,

0:21.3

your man, M.G. Marcus Grand Masking and socially distancing when and where appropriate. We got a good

0:26.7

show for you as we always do on Fridays. And we will get into the recap of last night's

0:33.0

TNF game between the Bengals and the Browns. We'll look ahead to some of the big questions in week two. Plus, we'll play a little bit of real or mirage. Talk about some of the big performances that happened in week one, whether or not they are a portent of things to come, or whether or not it was just a flash in the pan. We'll be joined, as always, on Friday, by our pal Michael F. Florio. But before we do all of that, let's talk to our faithful producer, senior Edward L. Murphy Esquire. So Murph threw one week and one game. How are your fantasy squads looking? Hey, last night with Joe Mixon and the way he performed was not great. I did have O'Dell Beckham. I have a few shares of him in some leagues. but man, oh man, it's like seeing a Gio Bernard in there, I think I tweeted something last night, like every level of football, whether it's pee-wee to high school, to even some college, it's like if you are the running back who gets the bulk of the yards, they usually reward you with the touchdown once again, like the red zone. And it's like the NFL does not care. It's like cool mixing you just got 80 yards all right geo bernard come in we're going to call your number you're going to get this touchdown like there's just no rewarding the players there so that's kind of what happened last night at the end of that game because i was uh crossed my fingers for some garbage time there it's almost like every running back, or at least like Joe Mixen is like Wendell Brown from Varsity Blues.

1:47.9

Uh, some garbage time there. It's almost like every running back, or at least like Joe Mixen is

1:45.4

like Wendell Brown from Varsity Blues, and Zach Taylor decided to go out and be Bud Kilmer

1:50.6

and pull him out at the goal line to let, to let you over and get those touch. Yeah, it's got to be

1:55.6

frustrating. I mean, I don't know. On the whole, you've got to be excited. Odell's back, at least for fantasy.

2:36.2

Yeah, and I've always been an Odell fan. I think he was just a guy that needed to get on the same page with Baker Mayfield. I thought the issues are more of a Baker problem than an Odell problem because everyone knows that he's a guy that's going to show up and he's going to work hard. And finally, they're going on the same page. So, yeah, drafting him in like the third round, like he was going usually in third rounds, maybe late second. It's like now you're going to get some production back for him. So this, but this broad offense is on the same page. Yeah, they're clicking with those two running backs and the receivers they have. I mean, it's going to be pretty good. Yeah, no doubt. We will certainly dig into that as well. but I know a lot of fantasy managers feel the way you did.

2:40.6

Seeing Odell get in the end zone, I think, was certainly very exciting for a lot of folks.

2:47.2

So, hey, now let's bring in our good friend Michael F. Florio. Good to see him on Fridays as always.

2:48.7

Florio, how you feeling over there?

3:08.2

I'm feeling great. Last night's game was surprisingly really good for fantasy. I was not expecting as many fantasy points as we got out of it. Yeah, no doubt. I feel like styles make fights, and you have two teams that are fairly evenly matched, so maybe that's sort of why we ended up with the game we did. So, yeah, that'll be interesting. We'll get into that in just a second. But what to start with a little bit of fantasy news. And we will start with the New York

3:14.7

Jetropolitans. Jameson Crowder is out for this week's game against the 49ers. Adam Gase

3:20.9

went so far as to say he's been our best player for the last two years. He's probably

3:25.7

not wrong, but now that he is out, Leveon Bell is on injured reserve, so he's gone for at least

3:31.6

the next three weeks. I mean, Mike, are there any Jets that you would think about playing this week?

3:37.7

I think the only one I would consider is Chris Herndon, and that's maybe if you're

3:43.1

having to dive a little bit deeper at tight end. I get it. There's going to be a lot of volume there
