Hello, everybody. Welcome to the World to Roll Football Show Sunday, december 28th 2025 only two shows left in

0:23.5

2025 i'm patrick d'arty joined off the jump tonight by mr kyle devorchick denny carter's on

sign i think he's skiing he's not here he's not here to talk about the real big games we saw and

0:33.8

said okay there weren't that many big games. They're real interesting when

0:37.5

they weren't even that interesting either. But no, they were. And we got some interesting

0:40.8

takeaways. A lot of it more almost for 2026, Kyle, than week 18. The week 18 landscape is going

0:46.4

to be crazy. Actually, Monday afternoon, Kyle and I record an episode of the podcast tomorrow instead

0:51.9

of Tuesday. It's kind of doing like a mini preview of what will be our longer preview later in the week. Like who even has week 18 motivation? I will have an article for week 18 motivation specifically on playoff scenarios, which teams have already been eliminated, which teams are locked into the playoffs but don't have anything to play for. For example, the Packers cannot move beyond the seven seed. cannot fall out of the playoffs either i think they've already said her shepter's already important they'll be resting stuff like that will be in the article we will also talk about that or that's up on monday yep so we're going to do a bit of a week 18 primer on monday we'll do our more formal official preview on friday january 2nd not on thursday like usual week. But we're going to have all the same stuff for week 18, just a little out of order. We'll begin this show out of order. So you don't ever usually begin with the Saints and Titans, Kyle. I want to talk New Orleans, Tennessee, New England, the Jets, the Seahawks, the Panthers, the Bengals, the Cardinals, but another win from the New Orleans state. I haven't looked at this box world. I don't even know what happened other than Chris Olive had a big game. But Tyler Shuck closing the season, very strong, Kyle, maybe even making an end-around, an offensive rookie of the year status. He frankly probably should win it. He's probably the most deserving guy.

2:01.5

I do not know if he'll win it.

2:03.4

He's been playing a lot better.

2:05.2

Him playing better has overshadowed Cam Ward playing a lot better, I would say.

2:10.0

It's kind of crazy that Tyler Shuck has been getting more love, more buzz than Cam Ward.

2:15.2

Two young quarterbacks playing a lot better over the past month. I guess to start on the Saints side, how did Tyler Shuck look? Do the Tassum Hill scam continue? How did Audrey estimate look? Things that nature. Start off the top of the young quarterback. I guess I can't actually say young. He's almost as old as we are. Yeah, he's really close to as old as I am. So with the caveat that both of these defenses are not particularly good, Titans particularly been a terrible defense all year. And just frankly, the amount of effort I saw from both defenses in this game was somewhere between bad and pathetic. So I don't want people to, I'm going to praise both these quarterbacks. They play good football. I don't want people to be like, did you know that they actually didn't play good defense? Yeah, I do know that neither of these teams played that good defense. But good quarterbacks take advantage of teams playing bad football. And both these quarterbacks, to varying degrees, took advantage of their opponents playing bad defense. I mean, Tyler Shuck was just chunk gaining away with ease.

3:08.6

I mean, he completed 22 of 27 passes, a career high, 333 passing yards, a career high,

3:15.1

12.3 yards per attempt. I believe his completion percentage, which I'm not going to do the math in my

3:19.5

head, was also a career high, two touchdowns, no picks, only took two sacks. And that's been one of the big

3:24.7

been one of the big issues for him this year is even though it doesn't turn the ball over a lot, he has taken a lot of sacks compared to how many pressures he's taken. Didn't do that in this game. He was just finding Chris Olavay, Johnson, even the ancillary pieces. Like Mason Tipton was out for this game. They haven't had Rashid for a while.

3:39.6

Taysam Hill didn't do much. The deep,

3:41.7

deep cuts on this team,

3:43.3

like Dante Pettis and Kevin Austin both got over 50 yards, three catches for Pettus, four for Kevin Austin, a bunch of chunk gains. I mean, when you look at just the box score, the long gains for every individual receiver are Chris Olavet, a a 60 yarder that was awesome and he almost outran

3:58.9

the defenders to go for what would have been i don't know like a 75 or 80 yard touchdown got track down

4:04.6

just at the end but a 60 yarder for him a 39 yarder for joan i know juan had another one that was
