September 28th, 2022. The Core 4, the four headlines you need to know. Today was supposed to be

the final House Select Committee hearing regarding the events on January 6th at the U.S. Capitol

building. But with Hurricane Ian impacting millions of lives in Florida and the Gulf states, the House Select Committee has decided to postpone the hearing for now. They haven't yet announced when the final hearings will take place. Two of the members of the House Select Committee represent districts in Florida and Mississippi, which could see the worst of a hurricane

that is predicted to cause almost $30 billion in financial damage after it makes landfall.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has already declared a state of emergency to prepare for the storm.

Hurricane Ian has already knocked out power to the entire island of Cuba as it makes its way up the Gulf of Mexico.

We've talked about PFAS or PFS before on this podcast. They are the manufactured substance, also known as forever chemicals, because they never break down.

Well, PFS have been found in every umbilical cord blood sample taken in 40 studies over the past five years.

In some cases, the PFAS exposure was even linked to health issues in fetuses, babies, and older children.

PFAS are often used to make non-stick,

water-resistant, and heat-resistant products, which make them impossible to break down. With these results, environmentalists and health experts are urging the EPA and the FDA to take small

steps to reduce PFAS exposures to humans.

allow Ukrainians in the Russian-occupied territories to vote on whether or not they want those

areas to become part of Russia.
