Good Morning Football is a production of the good morning football live in New York City. It's Wednesday, April 5th. I'm Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Jason McCordy, Peter Schrager, usual characters at the table. Kyle, are you good? You're feeling better. It's been a long week, a long time since we've all been back, the band.

We got our four starters out here. Yeah, we have a deep bench and we have great role players who put up shots and make key buckets. These are our four starters. All right, I love it. Time for the lead block. Leave block. Here's a look at the top 10 picks in Lance Zero Line's mock draft 3.0. Bryce Young going first to the Panthers.

Then he's got a lot of movement that involves C.J. Stroud going to the Ravens, who would bump up to the four spot, and the Raiders, the Texans landing Will Levis with a trade with the Raiders, who right now hold the seventh pick. They've got Atlantis Texans taking Tyree Wilson second and then trading back into the top 10 from the news.

1:12.2

Wow. Well, that would be a move for the Texans trying to turn things around.

1:16.9

But Lance Daryland also has six defensive players going in the first 10 picks,

1:20.8

including Georgia defensive tackle, Jalen Carter, at number five to the Seahawks.

1:24.7

Now Carter has made it known that he will not be taking visits with teams selecting outside the top 10.

1:29.2

Keep this in mind, though.

1:30.1

Jalen Carter's off-field issues are, as reference, a 22-year-old recently pled no contest,

1:35.5

two misdemeanor driving charges stemming from a January incident that involved two Georgia students losing their lives.

1:41.1

Jalen Carter received probation for his plea from that situation.

1:45.2

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah went on the Pat McAfee show yesterday and offered his Beck's

1:49.4

explanation for some of this movement.

1:52.9

Well, I think normally when decisions like this get made, it's because you have a backstop.

1:57.8

You know, like there's somebody that's giving you assurance is that like this is where

the slide ends. You're not getting past us. And you can trust that

information. Now, I don't know who that is, but I'm guessing just by looking at all the factors

2:09.9

involved that the Philadelphia Eagles, having Jordan Davis, a teammate of his, having to Kobe

2:14.8

Dean, a teammate of his, being a team that's, that's past rush obsessed, you know, they picked 10. So when I heard that he wasn't meeting teams outside of 10, I'm like, he's got a backstop somewhere in the top 10. And, you know, the Eagles would be my educated guess on that one. All right. That's an interesting way for DJ to look at it. Jalen Carter deciding to only visit with teams in the top 10. Do you agree with this, Peter? I think it's an interesting decision, but I'm with Daniel Jeremiah on this one, that obviously it's not something that he's risking his draft stock plummeting because he's not meeting with teams, that Drew Rosenhouse, who's the agent, has represented some of the top players in NFL history. And I believe this comes in with good counsel and good advice. It's also not the first time we've heard this from NFL draft lore. Dion Sanders was at the Combine, and apparently the New York Giants who had a pick in the top 10, wanted to meet with him. And Dion said, why are we wasting our time? I won't be around when you're on the clock. That was a little bit of a different time, a little bit of a different situation. But Dion, of course, did go number two overall, and he wasn't a New York giant. I also look at a different player from about 10 years after Dion. And it's a similar situation in that there was a lot of talk about character and off the field and not just this case that we're talking about, this tragic case with the two students from Georgia,

3:26.3

but also you'd hear a lot of other things about Jalen Carter. And it was Warren Sapp coming into the draft back when he was draft eligible. And a lot of teams were just scared away and said, we don't want to, we don't want to take Warren's Sapp. We've heard some things. There was a situation with marijuana. We're not involved with that. And Warren Snap goes with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he goes out of the top 10 and he goes on to be
