Well, it's an AFC West rivalry game when the Denver Broncos traveled to Kansas City to take on the Super Bowl 57 champion chiefs.

Broncos against the Chiefs Thursday night football, guys.

It is Wednesday, guys, October 14th, 11th, actually. Trying to rush these things. you can't. I'm Colleen Wolfe. Got Jason McCordy, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager. They let me come back, which is kind of a shock. Not going to lie. But this is good. So day two, we'll see how it goes. It's all good. We've got some great games ahead, and we are so happy to have it. Peter, you were, I'm going to say last week, you were, I would say, skeptical of Bears Commanders. You were kind of a sour puss about the Thursday night game. How are you feeling about Chief Bronx? I actually kind of like it. Okay. There's also a little end of the world factor going on. That's good. Okay. We love drama. Hey, do. With that, let's get to the lead block.

So the Jets defense came up big in the final minute against the Broncos on Sunday.

Quincy Williams forced a Russell Wilson fumble and Bryce Hall ran it into the end zone to get the win at mile high.

That loss put Denver at one and four.

And tomorrow night, they've got to go to Arrowhead and history. Well, you know, it's not in their favor as division rivals, the Broncos have lost 15 straight against the Chiefs. That is the big

number that everyone is talking about tied for the longest active streak in the NFL right now.

Patrick Mahomes, of course, was asked about this yesterday. When you play a team like the Broncos, same with any division opponent, there's just another level of intensity. So I'm not worried about necessarily a streak or anything like that. I'm worried about winning against a division opponent. And I know just as much as I think everyone in this

locker room knows that it doesn't matter what the records are. It's going to be a close game.

It's going to be a hard fought battle. Both teams don't give everything they have. And so that's just the history of the matchup. And so that's the thing with me. It's not about the streak. It's about going out there and find a way to win against a division opponent in a tough fought battle. So Mojones isn't worried about the streak, but I'm sure it's on Denver's mind,

along with a lot of other things, sitting at 1 and 4 right now. How can the Broncos take a step in the right direction tomorrow night at Arrowhead, Peter? This is one of those where you're in the bunker and you're looking around. You're like, it's us against the world and it can't fall apart. You know, the Broncos did trade away Randy Gregory for 60 cents on the dollar last week.

He was a very expensive free agent signing right before Sean Payton got there. Over the last 24 hours, you have heard just about every Broncos veteran be mentioned in trade talks. Jerry Judy came out and he had a tweet. He said, these old heads be some lame haters. And I think he's talking about in general, some of the old players, Jason, you're your kin, your friends, going out here and saying, hey, these guys, to which Mark Schlereth, Broncos legend, responds, does old heads mean someone that has more playoff starts than you have career starts? Wow! This is where we're at in local Denver right now. This is where we're at. And if you're Jerry Judy or if you're another star player, you're looking at this thing. And it's not about your fantasy status. It's about status as a Denver Bronco. And whether they want you here or not, I feel like the trade deadline's coming up. If you go one in five, this thing is all over. And if you're going against the Chiefs, it could get ugly. I asked Tom Self, our producer, I asked Rich Goldberg, one of our producers. To do what? Can I get some of the best of Mahomes versus the Broncos? All right, let's go. Come on. Mahomes' first career start. Stick their nose in it. Week 17, a no look pass across the middle that everyone over the off season was like, like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what was that thing right there? We don't see that. It was a nothing game. Alex Smith started all season, but Mahomes threw this no-look. Who was that receiver? Albert Wilson. Okay. Mahomes' first Monday night game of his career. Von Miller's chasing, if everyone's chasing, left-handed pass for our first down. Mahomes would find a way to come all the way back and win this game. All right, then we go to the snows. Surely you can't beat the Broncos in the elements. Yeah, he can beat the Broncos in his elements. Rookie, second year, obviously, throws this deep one to Tyreek Hill. They win the game on that play. All right. Last, this was December 11th, 2022. Last year, one of my favorite Mahomes passes, he throws this beauty to Jerich McKinnon that I think we're still talking about today. It's one thing to lose games. It's another one to get dunked on.

He's never lost.

He has never lost to the Broncos. He plays them twice a year. If he never played another game, he's going to the Hall of Fame. He's never lost to the Broncos. He plays them twice a year. I'm not in the local Denver market media. I'm not one to ship off players. but if you're a Broncos veteran and you're watching our show and you're watching all the coverage,

just know that likely no person is safe. And another thing, at some point, let's get together, let's shock the world and let's have a moment. Let's not let this get to 16. What can they do? Well, they can show up and they can come together and they can play as a team and hopefully do their best to compete because it hasn't been a rivalry. It's been a one-sided domination in the last eight years. Would they hang a banner that said, like, beat Mahomes, 23? And they got a couple of Super Bowls there, but, like, I'm saying, like, they got a... So one's very proud franchise. I know, and it's just, it's been seven years of drearinessariness. I think Mahomes, the hardest he's worked was in that press conference. I'm watching it. I'm just like, man, he is such a good guy. Like he has such a nice respect. He's trying, sorry he's saying, you know, you throw the records out, and some of these have been close. And like, he's trying so hard. It's an awkward question. Pat, you destroy the Broncos every time. Talk about it. It's very difficult for him. And look, what he's not saying is like there's been margins of victory 27, 24, 2014. He's not talking about those. There's there have been some close ones. There have been some close ones. And there were some close ones recently. How can they make this a game? Like, how can they get it? You know, I don't think this is the best Chiefs team the last five years. It's probably the most vulnerable Chiefs team. And there have been really close games lately. It's just like, can we get anything from Denver's defense? Anything. I think Russ is going to play. I think Peyton will have a game plan. So here's a really interesting thing that applies to our show. When you just have a really bad start like the Broncos have through five games, like
