Hi everyone. Welcome back to the Daily Gospel Exegesis podcast produced by Logical Bible Study.

0:17.3

Our goal in this podcast is to help you understand the literal sense of scripture.

0:22.5

What did these words mean in their original context?

0:25.1

What was the author trying to get at?

0:26.9

And the teaching of the Catholic Church is that we always have to start with the literal

0:30.9

sense before we jump to any spiritual sense.

0:34.0

So that's what we're trying to help you do in this podcast.

1:39.0

1:45.9

Copernum. This particular scene, if you've followed what happened earlier in Mark

1:50.8

chapter 9, this scene takes place in Jesus' own house in Copernum. This is a private briefing with

1:57.8

his disciples. So they're in Jesus' house in Copernum and they've been arguing
