Now, let's join Kurt for today's episode. Hey, friends, welcome back. Psalm 22 today. And we are jumping right in because this is such an amazing prophetic Psalm. Sometimes we call this a messianic psalm.

Why?

Because so much of what we're reading, we find direct fulfillment in the person, life, and ministry of Jesus Christ.

And the New Testament authors referenced these fulfillments.

So, and I've always said that I think one of the most compelling proofs to the authenticity

of the Bible is fulfilled prophecy.

And we have seen it already in just the first eight verses that we've studied.

in verse number nine.

David is the author, and he says in verse number nine, but thou art he that took me out of the

womb, thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts when I was nursing, I was cast upon thee from the womb.

help. So we continue with this air of frustration, this feeling of being forsaken.

And yet in the midst of it, David reminds himself that, but God, you have been there.
