Hey there, friends. Welcome back. Psalm 22 today in your copy of God's holy precious word. And we are talking about the Lord.

So that's always good. All the Bible is the story about the Lord. But there are some chapters in the Bible that are just much more specific and detailed about the ministry of Jesus,

and this is one of them. And we've been talking about these incredible prophecies that were

uttered by David about his eventual offspring, the Lord Jesus, and how they were incredibly,

amazingly fulfilled in the life of Jesus,

especially in the death of Jesus.

And we ended last time, I think, in verse number 18.

So they part my garments among them.

They cast lots upon my vesture.

And then verse 19, but be not thou far from me, O Lord.

O my strength, haste thee to help me.

So in the midst of all of this betrayal, these crowds that are surrounding, these dogs that are barking, these bulls that are goring, these lions that are roaring, the prayer of David,

and obviously the prayer of our Lord himself, was to his Heavenly Father.

Deliver my soul from the sword, my darling from the power of the dog.
