years ago today, Jessica Beale and Justin Timberlake got married. October 19th, 2012, the ceremony was

in Italy. Happy 10 years, guys. All right, let's jump in with your top story. The midterm

elections have arrived. Election day in the US is not until November 8th, but early voting is open

in various parts of the country. It starts today for me here in Tennessee. I'm in Nashville.

I know it'll be in Monday in Georgia and the turnout there broke midterm records over 133,000

ballots were cast in Georgia on Monday. Four years ago in 2018, that number was just over 70,000.

So we're talking close to double here. I know that vote.org is a pretty good resource for bipartisan

information. If you want to find out if your area has early voting vote.org, I can check your

registration there too. I can link it if you'd like. At first thing pod on Instagram. It's your civic

duty. Okay, okay, okay, on to a couple of sports headlines. Now they finally got their

game in the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Guardians last night to win the American League

Division series. They now advance to the ALCS to face the Astros. Game one in that series is

tonight. No rest for the Yanks. The winner will find themselves in the world series against either

the Padres or the Phillies. The Phillies won last night and are now one game up in that series.

And by the way, Taco Bell just announced the return of their steal a base steal a taco promotion.

When the first stolen base is recorded during the world series, not show cheese Doritos,

Locos Tacos for everyone. And in the NBA, both of last night's season openers were high

scoring games. The Celtics beat the 76ers 126 to 117 and the Warriors. The returning champs,

they proved that they are favorites to repeat the season with a 123 109 win over the Lakers.
