Good morning, everyone, the simple handicap for Wednesday, October 12.

Thank you for making me a part of your morning inching ever closer to NFL week number six,

which kicks off tomorrow with the Washington commanders on the road at the Chicago Bears.

And as has been the story, the entire week, the total continues to inch down 37 and a half this morning at

Where this gets interesting is historically in the NFL, the 20 mile per hour mark for wind

is where you see a big detrimental impact to passing games did around the field.

This total is at 37 and a half. In the last 10 years of the NFL, games did

kick off with wind speeds of 20 miles per hour, average a true point scored in those games of 37 points.

Now, the difference here is that usually the total, which is the posted total at sportsbooks,

ends up closing right around 40 points.

Because scoring in the NFL is so much lower this year, and because both of these offenses have been so horrendous,
