Good morning, everyone, the simple handicap for Thursday, October 13th.

NFL week number six officially upon us, and we'll get to that game in just a second,

but wanted to follow up on a tweet I sent yesterday afternoon,

which is impacting a number of games and will continue to impact a number of games as we work through

the season. As I have said many times here on the podcast, I am not a doctor. By this point,

you probably know that if you listen to more than just a couple of episodes. So I am unable to

define motor skills and the impact that hits in the NFL may ultimately have on those motor skills.

However, there was very quietly a change to the concussion protocol, which was implemented before the games last week.

And we saw it immediately have impact into Miami game,

what they hit on Teddy Bridgewater.

And now we're seeing it with a few other players within the league.

What we were used to, as this concussion protocol,

where there were steps to clear it,

and they were quite well defined,

and it was all in relation to head trauma.

Now we're dealing with a lot of uncertainty around what is and is not a concussion as well as

what does and does not define putting a player in this protocol. What we do know from a betting perspective is it is arguably and very likely factually.

Again, there's a medical opinion here that if somebody knows well on the podcast and wants

to send me a message on Twitter, great.

But it is easier now for players to miss the duration of the game in which they are hurt in,

as well as the week following because of the new protocols that were put in place.
