a council member after audio of a private conversation between her, two other council

members and the also since resigned LA Federation of Labor Chief Ron Herrera was leaked over

the weekend.

On the recording, which was anonymously posted to Reddit, Martinez can be heard making

racist comments about the black son of a fellow council member, along with other disparaging

remarks about local politicians, local state and federal leaders have called in the council

members to resign, though none have in a statement Martinez says she takes full responsibility
