President Biden met privately yesterday with the family of the late George Floyd on the

first anniversary of his death.

Both Biden and Floyd's brother Phil and East Floyd address reporters at the White House in

hopes of prodding Congress to take action on the George Floyd Justice Impleasing Act,

which is of course going to go nowhere as long as we have Joe Manchin on the filibuster

to stop it.

A number of Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin Carthy and Representative

Elise Tophonic, made statements in review of Marjorie Taylor Greene's comparison of

masking policies to the Holocaust, calling it, quote, appalling.

And now I hope this is the last time we have to talk about Marjorie for a while, but I'm

sure it won't be.

Moderna announced yesterday that their data shows that their vaccine works to produce an

immune response in teenagers, and the company is now seeking authorization from the FDA

for teenagers ages 12 to 15.

This would be the second vaccine approved for this age group after Pfizer.
