Welcome to May, friends. It's also the first day of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.

This is first thing with Kevin Mano. Thanks for being here. A real quick and easy look at all the headlines

and it starts right now.

Okay, we'll start with a quick update

on the ongoing protests on college campuses across the country.

The headline here is that yesterday Columbia University, as well as Portland State University,

both closed their campuses after demonstrators took over buildings.

At Columbia, a handful of people broke into Hamilton Hall,

at which point the school threatened to expel the students involved,

and then last night dozens of New York police officers in riot gear

entered Hamilton Hall and started making arrests.

I know that on the other side of the country, UCLA saw a lot of action to yesterday.

Police came in as the school declared the encampment they had set up to be illegal.

The tensions are still growing and again just to reset these pro-Palestinian protests are generally

based on the idea that people want these universities to divest from Israeli-backed companies.

All right, okay, getting into sports here.

This is a wild one, really.

Last night, the Dodgers Diamondbacks game

was delayed for two hours on account of a swarm of bees.
