First thing with Kevin Mann and we're real quick, look at all the headlines

as you start your day and it starts right now.

Okay, always get started with that top story and the university protests continue to dominate headlines.

The demonstrations are still spreading across the country.

UCLA is getting a lot of attention after things turned violent.

I guess a pro-Israeli group showed up and began assaulting the pro-Palestinian protesters,

at which point the LAPD jumped in and started making arrests. The police

have ordered the protesters to leave the UCLA campus but that has not

happened yet. Over at the University of Arizona, police used a quote chemical irritant on the groups of protesters.

I saw that Portland State University had cancelled a bunch of classes.

This whole thing is just, it's really intense and it's growing.

And now given all of this tension and unrest yesterday the House passed the

Anti-Semitism Awareness Act. It sounds like among other things this bill

could make it easier for concerned students to file civil rights complaints

Okay, all right on to some sports headlines here in baseball baseball news, one of the best in the league

is getting knee surgery.

Mike Trout of the Angels has a torn meniscus

and is out for the foreseeable future.

The team does expect to have him back before the end of the season.

And in the NBA, the Celtics beat the heat last night. They now advanced to the conference
