An Amtrak train collided with a dump truck and derailed in Missouri on Monday, killing

four people and injuring at least 150 more.

Investigations are still underway to determine why the truck was on the tracks at an intersection

locally known to be dangerous.

The derailment came one day after three were killed and another three injured when an

Amtrak struck a car at an unmarked crossing in Brentwood, California.

In San Antonio, Texas, at least 50 people were discovered dead in and around a tractor-trailer

carrying over 100 people.

With no sign of water or AC, the deaths appear to be due to heat exhaustion.

Three individuals have been detained in connection with what is believed to be a trafficking

operation to smuggle migrants into the US to work.
