Remember last week when ProPublica revealed data showing how five billionaires have managed

to hoard enough money to fund their own personal space-rays?

Well, yesterday's Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell came out with a statement that

the Department of Justice and FBI need to investigate the disclosure of confidential tax information

to ProPublica and bring criminal charges against those who are responsible.

In his speech on the Senate floor, he said, quote, actual consequences, as a matter of

justice and as a practical deterrent, the federal government owes taxpayers nothing less.

You know, well, the federal government also owes taxpayers nothing less than clean air and

water, but nothing stopped you from voting against that much.

Like does Mitch not even care that Jeff Bezos owns nearly the equivalent of the GDP of his

own home state?

President Biden has named a new chairwoman of the FTC named Lena Khan, who was confirmed

by the Senate's 69-28.

This is an important and consequential pick, given that she is one of Silicon Valley's

most prominent critics, and now has the top regulatory position that affects the tech

industry.

Democrats will now have a majority on the five-member commission, and they're expected
