This is a strange story out of Northern Michigan. Authorities are looking for a man who made his own sandwich at a subway shop.

He rang up orders for customers and then took 20 bucks from the till before he took off.

Here's what happened. Workers were working at the subway inside the Walmart in Traverse City.

He walks in and said, yeah, they sent me over from the other subway to give you guys a hand.

Okay. And they went, all right.

Oh, yeah, they're fine. There's sure, come on back here.

So he did. He walked behind the counter. He made his own sandwich.

And then he rang up several customers to before he eventually stole 20 bucks from the till and walked out of there.

They're hoping surveillance footage may help identify the man. He did have a subway t-shirt on, but Andy Green knows you can have one of those and not work there.

That's true. You took one of those shirts when you left. I never returned it. It didn't fit anyway.

Yeah. So you could do this at any time. I could. Well, no, I've long lost that shirt.

They sent me from the other subway. Yeah. I'll tell you what I always, because my roommate used to work at subway,

and I would be in there all the time. I like all the time. And they had a certain way that they had to make a sub.

They called them sandwich artists back in the day and they cut the bread a certain way. They used to cut the bread in like a wedge.

Yeah. I think they still do not every place. So I know most of them do, but every once in a while, I'll go to a place

and I'm like, the person just cuts it. And I'm like, you know, sandwich artists, do you even work here?

I'm like, are you even supposed to be here? So do you think this guy worked there then if he knew how to bring people up and do all those things?

I feel like he worked there. Yeah. He had to do something like a former employee. Yeah. That's what I think.

Yeah. He just needed a $2 scam and maybe a free-send free sub. Yeah. And didn't mind helping some people out.

He had to make it look like it was real. Yeah. Yeah. Got to make it look legit. So they still haven't found the guy they're asking anyone who might know his identity to contact investigators.

I'm surprised that we're worried about it. $20. I know. With 20 bucks, I get you don't want a guy impersonating the subway sandwich artists.

Yeah. Over $20. He didn't clean out the till. Yeah. You know, no. Did the customers see help give him a good review? You know. He did a good job. He probably made a hell of a sub.
