across the board, and it starts right now. And it always starts with the top story.

We're starting to get a clearer picture of the destruction left behind

by Hurricane Barrel.

While power is slowly being restored in the Houston area, there are

close to 2 million people still without. It's very dangerous in this heat. The

heat index in Houston passed 100 degrees yesterday. Heat is the deadliest form of extreme

weather in this country. As of now the storm has been blamed for at least 10 US

deaths. Yesterday President Biden granted a federal emergency disaster declaration for parts of Texas,

FEMA is down there helping out.

I also saw this morning that NRG Stadium, the home of the Texans, suffered some storm damage.

Hurricane barrel broke a portion of the roof.

Also that stadium is being used to hold discharged hospital patients

that can't return to homes with no power. Pest Up. All right, okay, on to sports, the fellas on Team USA will be on the court today in a scrimmage

with Canada.

Unfortunately, though, Kevin Durant is going to have to sit it out. He has a calf strain.

Regardless, the team is expected to win by 6,000 points against Canada.

They've got Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards, LeBron James,

Jason Tatum, just to name a few.

They are expected to dominate in Paris this year.
