Summary

Ephesians 2:4-9 The gift of salvation is not a result of any good work that we have done to earn it in some way. It IS, however, the result of Someone’s good works—JESUS. He satisfied the righteous demands of the law, and He paid the awful price of sin on behalf of us sinners. Were it not for God's rich mercy and great love in sending Jesus to die for our sins, there would be no hope of redemption for anybody.

So last episode, we talked about the before picture, how that we were dead in trespasses and in

sins, how we had rebelled against God, how we had missed the mark, how we were just walking

following the devil. And I mean, that's bad news. And yet God made the difference. How? Through his

rich mercy, through his great love. But when? When did God demonstrate that mercy to us? When was God's love revealed to us? Was it after we said we were

2:05.2

sorry and after we came back and said, oh, God, please? No, because what did John teach us? He said,
