let's join Kurt for today's episode. I think one of the best things we can do to just jumpstart our passion for the Lord and our dedication to serve him better is just to think about what happened

when we got saved.

All that God did for us.

And somebody once wisely said that when you get saved,

you don't even really know all that God did.

And you spend the rest of your life kind of finding out the depth of what happened in that one moment

when in simple faith and trust you came to Jesus Christ. And I believe that to be true. I've been

preaching now for these 40 years and I can tell you that every single year of my ministry,

I feel as if, wow, I know nothing. And I discover new

things and deeper truths about that simple salvation plan that God has offered to mankind.

What a wonderful God we serve. Ephesians chapter two is a great example of everything I just said. So in chapter

one we just ended and we talked about that great prayer that the Apostle Paul prayed, that we would

just know the hope of our calling, that we would have a future focus to realize that God is working in our life.

He's made us a promise that will be just like Jesus.

That promise is secured upon his very word and upon his very power.
