Hey friends, welcome back. Really excited about our start here in the Book of Galatians.

It is such a powerful book, and I am a bit embarrassed that I am now using a large print Bible.

You probably have never seen me in glasses, but I'm supposed to wear glasses. It's not a pride thing. It's just a forget thing. And every now and then

I'll be sitting in my office and my eyes will be hurting and I'll remember, oh yeah, I'm supposed

to be wearing glasses and I'll put them on and wow, you can see much better.

So I'm using a large print Bible, but other than that, I feel pretty good.

Let's look at Galatian chapter 1 and verse 6.

Remember, Paul is writing the churches of Galatia, I believe Southern Galatia, the same churches

that he and Barnabas had preached in those cities. Churches had been started. But soon after

the Apostle Paul had left some people, authoritative people from Jerusalem, the Judaizers, had come in and had poisoned

the gospel message in this way. They had said that salvation is, yes, believing in Jesus as

Messiah, but also you must keep the mosaic law. You must follow Jewish laws. You must be

circumcised. So really what they were doing is adding to salvation. And Jesus was very specific

about this because the Pharisees had done the same thing. What they had done is
