I want to apologize for being so long-winded yesterday. I just got excited

about starting this book and I didn't pay attention to time. So I will do better today.

And I appreciate you hanging on for episode two of our study of the book of Galatians,

but really episode one when it comes to actually getting into the

book itself. So let's look at Galatian chapter one and verse number one, where the Bible says

Paul, an apostle, and then it's really interesting how Paul then establishes his apostleship. So what is an apostle? An apostle, the word literally

means a sent one, like an emissary, an official delegate from. So when the Bible talks about

Paul being an apostle, Paul no doubt is thinking back to his commissioning, which was in Acts

1:30.0

Chapter 9, where no, none other than Jesus himself said to Paul, you will stand before kings for me.

You will be my mouthpiece to the Gentile world. So there was the commissioning of Paul.

And Paul refers back to that over and over again in his writings.
